So Israel, described by Daniel Bernard as "that shitty little country", is at it again. Another unprovoked attack on a Muslim country and surprisingly the west, with its supine media, refuses to highlight the terror state?s latest breach of Syria?s internationally recognised boundaries.?
On the pretext that they are bombing a Hezbollah supply chain, Israel has bombed Damascus. And let?s be honest - it is an unverifiable pretext, and Israel, never one to tell the truth when a lie will do, is not to be trusted. The caricature of a rogue state couldn?t be better fitted to the "little shits" that run the grotesque, abusive state of Israel.?
And what has Assad done to defend his people? Well, err... nothing. In fact, he has shown a remarkable lack of outrage and what little his regime has shown is more to do with the right to kill Syrians than any moral outrage at killing Syrians.?
And here it gets even more weird. Assad and his cronies seem to be anxious that they and only they, can kill Syrians - everyone else can get in line. Not content with butchering his own people and creating a sectarian conflict which only Israel can benefit from, he is now proving his inability to lead by failing to protect his people from the external and existential threat of Israel.?
Assad?s day will come. His resilience is down to a perfect storm of Russia?s and Iran?s arms, savvy propaganda, (it?s Al Qaeda, it?s Israel...Al Qaeda and Israel has formed an alliance...really!), the west?s reluctance to provide any meaningful support to the freedom fighters and the fractious nature of Assad?s opposition.?
The Syrian people however have woken up. Like Arabs and Muslims everywhere, incompetent, corrupt and brutal tyrants are no longer being tolerated. The Arab uprisings have created a change, a change where leaders are no longer judged by the ability to impose their will, but by the consent of the led.?
Assad has to go. He has failed to protect his people from Israel and from his own Shia mercenaries. The question is when he goes, is he going to take Syria with him?
